Season logbook for whitebaiters. Last updated 28 September 2026.
Possie does not collect your data. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no server. Everything you enter — your possies, your tallies, your notes, your photos — stays stored only on your own iPhone or iPad, inside the app's own storage.
All of the following is written to your device's local storage only. None of it is transmitted anywhere by Possie:
Possie asks for camera access only when you tap the camera option in a possie's editor, to photograph your stand or bank. It asks for photo library access only when you choose to pick an existing photo the same way. In both cases only the single image you pick is copied into the app; Possie does not browse or upload the rest of your library, and the photo never leaves your device.
If you turn reminders on, Possie schedules a local notification for the high tide you typed in, and an optional local reminder to check the net. These are scheduled and delivered entirely on your device by iOS itself — Possie has no push server and sends nothing to Apple or anyone else to make this work.
Possie can export your season's tides as a CSV file, or share a single session's summary as text. This only happens when you tap Share or Export, and it hands the file to the standard iOS share sheet — you choose where it goes (Mail, Files, AirDrop, and so on). Possie itself does not send this data anywhere.
Possie has no third-party SDKs, no advertising network, and no analytics library of any kind. It makes no network requests for the purpose of running the app or displaying its content.
Possie is a general-audience logbook and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect information from anyone at all.
If Possie's data practices ever change, this page will be updated and the "last updated" date above will change with it. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
Questions about this policy or the app can be sent through the contact form on the support page.
